Build a Strong Foundation in English

Level 1 is designed for adults and learners with little or no English foundation. Through a structured and supportive learning approach, students will gradually build their confidence and develop essential English communication skills for everyday situations.

The course introduces practical English through real-life topics such as self-introduction, daily routines, family, hobbies, shopping and everyday conversations. Learners will develop essential vocabulary, grammar knowledge and communication skills that can be applied in real-world situations.

Throughout the programme, students will develop seven core English language skills:

• Vocabulary: Build practical, high-frequency vocabulary for everyday communication.

• Grammar: Learn essential grammar and apply it naturally in real-life situations.

• Listening: Improve listening skills through guided practice and authentic audio.

• Speaking: Develop confidence through interactive speaking practice and real-life conversations.

• Pronunciation: Improve pronunciation, stress and intonation for clearer expression.

• Reading: Strengthen reading skills through practical English texts and passages.

• Writing: Learn to write clear sentences and practical everyday English.

By the end of Level 1 – Foundation English, learners will have built a strong English foundation and gained the confidence to communicate in common daily situations. This level prepares students for further English development and progression to higher-level learning.
